Bradford Keeney, Ph.D., born 1951, is an American psychotherapist, internationally renowned scholar, cybernetician, ethnographer, therapist, and shaman. He wrote more than thirty books in the fields of psychotherapy, cybernetics, and ethnographies of healing traditions, many of his works are considered classics in their fields. Keeney is cited as one of the major sources on cybernetics in the Encyclopedia of Artificial Intelligence.
He is also recognized as a spiritual teacher and as an elder shaman in cultures throughout the world including the Guarani Indians of lower basin Amazonia, the Japanese tradition of seiki jutsu, the elder Shakers of St. Vincent, the Zulu sangoma community, diverse folk healers of Brazil, and the Balians of Bali and others. Regarded as a n/om kxao (owner of spiritual power) by the Bushmen of Namibia and Botswana, he founded Thara Tjua (Shaking House), the Bushman Healing Conservancy.
Keeney is the author of ‘Profiles of Healing’, an encyclopedia of the world’s healing practices as well as several classics in the field of psychotherapy and numerous titles for the popular press, such as:

– Shamanic Christianity: The Direct Experience of Mystical Communion
– Shaking Medicine: The Healing Power of Ecstatic Movement
In his early work, Keeney articulated patterns of communication for distinguished psychotherapists, later using his own psycho-therapeutic cases to show how one can use psychotherapy as an art to create successful therapeutic transformation in clients. Keeney founded the Institute for Creative Transformation in 2009. He is the father of notable Los Angeles based DJ Skee.
Keeney invites us in a most charismatic way to go beyond modernity to the oldest culture on earth to find true magic and power.

This is a wonderful talk, I love the exuberance and captivating style of Bradford Keeney. I don't agree that this kind of psychedelic shaking is the only way, but it is sure as hell a lot of fun!
Indeed, Keeney's voice and energy is fascinating and nearly brought me into a trance-like state. I agree: "The Source" speaks here!
