A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by German dictator Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book ‘Mein Kampf’, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”.
Hitler coined this quote (and his propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels used it as well):
Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.
(Adolf Hitler)
Just a few words, but definitively a quite shocking and revealing sentence. Therefore we leave you with this:
Always think (and feel) for yourself.
Don’t believe anything whatsoever –
find out for yourself, be your own authority!
